I am an experienced attorney who grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis, and I have located my practice in Southport, focusing on helping my surrounding community. I graduated at the top of my class from Indiana University Bloomington with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I was on the Dean’s List every semester and recognized at Founder’s Day every year. I am a Phi Beta Kappa and a recognized member of multiple other scholastic honor societies. I graduated from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis with a concentration in advocacy skills. I was a Student Member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Equal Justice Works, Women’s Caucus, International Law Society, and ICLU. I was a participant in European Study Abroad Program in Strasbourg, France and studied the European Union legal systems. I was a participant of the Moot Court Competition and Client Counseling Competition and I was a Certified Legal Intern for the Disability Clinic and Civil Practice Clinic.
I have experience in litigation, administrative law, and mediation. I focus my practice on worker’s compensation, personal injury, family law and criminal law. I became an attorney to help people and provide pro bono work to people in need every year.
I am a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the American Bar Association.
I am admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, Northern District of Indiana and Southern District of Indiana, and I have completed Certified Mediator training.

Stephanie has been with Thompson Legal since January of 2011, first as an intern, then as a Certified Legal Intern practicing under Kelly's supervision, and now as a licensed practicing attorney.
Stephanie graduated from Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law in 2016 with a minor in Education Policy and Law. While in law school Stephanie participated in the Disability and Veterans Clinics representing clients in Social Security proceedings and Veterans with their service-connected disability appeals. She assisted inmates incarcerated at Terre Haute's federal high-security prison with family law and estate planning matters. Stephanie remains active in IU Maurer's Alum.
Stephanie was employed at the Indiana Department of Education - Office of Special Education from 2015 to 2018, beginning as an intern and then as a Special Education Complaint Investigator and School-Based Medicaid Specialist.
Stephanie has 3 children ages 19, 18, and 17. Her youngest is special needs and receives special education and related services from their local public school system.
Stephanie is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and in both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana. She is active in local, state, and national bar associations and is vice-president of the Town of Whiteland's Storm Water Management Board.
